OUR SURROUNDINGS

In Shetland, we are as close to nature as you can get. It truly is one of the UKs last unspoilt places. It is in Shetland that Scotland meets Scandinavia; and where the North Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Being only 600 miles south of the Arctic Circle, Shetland is unique in that it enjoys long summer days and the spectacular phenomenon of the Northern lights.

Shetlanders have a close connection to the sea and understand its beauty and power. It has played a vital role in our history and will always shape our future. Despite our isolation we are part of a vibrant and supportive community who enjoy diversity and are always welcoming.
The elements, the seasons, the scenery, the history and the people within our beautiful islands motivate and inspire everything we do.
